COUPE DE FRANCE. Red Star will be without Robert Gomis, Cédric Sabin, Enis Saïti (suspended), Vincent Sarrea (ankle). Arthur Gomis, Kalu NGoma and could well be back in the reckoning for a place at Viry-Châtillon on Saturday. Habib Sissokho in particular will be keen to play - he is a native of Juvisy-sur-Orge. |

A THOUGHT. Spare a thought for the victims of the atrocities in New York and Washington DC. At times like this, football seems very trivial indeed. Our sympathies to all involved.

AT LEAST WE DIDN'T LOSE...But once again, for the second week consecutive, Red Star fail to finish the game with a full compliment. This time the finger of guilt points at Enis Saïti and Cédric Sabin. They received their marching order for two yellow cards and for spitting on an opponent, respectively. Despite the imbalance numerically, Red Stars' youngsters battled hard in appalling conditions to preserve the point. |

DIRECTION LES VOSGES. Red Stars' last away win in the championship goes back to March 24th 2000, when they beat Paris FC at the Porte de Montreuil, the goal scored by Camille Oponga. Now is the time to put the record straight, and to bring a win back from Raon-l'Etape. Missing the trip will be Robert Gomis and captain Franck Busuttil, both suspended. So, in line for a call-up could be Loïc Le Pape, Mickaël Azoulay and maybe Habib Sissokho. Kick off 8pm CET, Stade Gasser. Photo, Red Stars' physio, Daniel Lasfargues. |
