FRIENDLY ARRANGED. With Red Star having been eliminated from this years' Coupe de France, they would have been without a game this weekend. So to keep his squad match fit, Jean-Luc Girard has arranged a friendly against Paris FC at the Porte de Montreuil this weekend. Details will be posted on this site as and when we have them. |

VINCENT GUERIN. Okay, so we lied. Well, we didn't actually - just received some bum information. Actually, the FFF (not that jolly beat combo) have changed their minds and decided that our Vinny can't play until January 2002 after all. So, we'll be without him for a bit longer. make your minds up, chaps ! |

RETURN OF THE MIGHTY RED ?. In any case, it's far too early to say, at the moment, but recent form has given some encouragement to Red Stars' hard-pressed supporters. In addition, the emergence of some new talent in the side is a positive point, Franck Guidali (20, pictured) is an example of this. The collective spirit is good, with a bit more bite in front of goal, then perhaps the club can become one of the front-runners in the division. |

RED STAR v POISSY. The hand of Luis Fernandez drew out Poissy as Red Stars' next opponents in the Coupe de France. The club from the Yvelines is no stranger to Red Star - last season Kader Ferhaoui and co, then in the National had difficulty in overcoming a floodlight failure and a stubborn Poissy defence to record a 3-0 victory. As a pre-season friendly back in July, the new-look Red Star still in a period of reconstruction ground out a faily lifeless 0-0 draw with an already-established Poissy side, freshly promoted to the CFA. |
