CHRISTMAS CHEER ?. For the Red Star - La Chapelle game, a few more Red Star supporters came out of the woodwork. Extremely noisy, as usual, the faithful huddled in the TinCanStand to keep out a biting chill wind got behind their team for the whole of the game. Several players were lauded individually, especially the goalkeeper Fabrice Bruneau (photo). Opposite, numbers were down, perhaps thirty VIPs in the main stand, silent as usual. Who needs them, anyway ?
Meanwhile, a truly Red Star-ian situation at the half time coffee bar. Only the first three demanders were lucky enough to get a sandwich, and worse than that, on a zero-degree evening, the coffee ran out after ten cups. When one supporter protested he was told to go in the stand opposite to get a drink !!! Are the club taking the piss or what ??? As usual we had no PA announcements but we did get the stand lights left on throughout the game !! We truly are treated as second-class citizens.
Finally, seasons' greeting to all our readers, whatever your country of origin, whatever your beliefs... thanks for visitng our little site, don't forget that as from January you can type www.allezredstar.com to have your favourite site (although the old address still works !). Keep coming back, we'll try to have more information, more translations in the New Year. ALLEZ RED STAR !!!!!

GAMBRADELLA. In the freezing cold of the Ile des Vannes, Red Star received a bit of a thumping at the hands of Mulhouse, 1-4. Red Star fell behind 3-0 at half time, Red Stars' kids rallied a little in the seond period, but failed to fight back. Of the three goals conceded, one was blatently off side, another was a dodgy penalty, so Red Star have reason to feel aggrieved. Red Stars' M'Bongou missed a seond half penalty, but still managed a consolation goal before Mulhouse sealed the tie in the dying seconds with a fourth goal.
