FOOTBALLS' COMING HOME ?. It appears that the work to renovate (repair ???) the old stadium at Saint-Ouen will start early next week. If all goes well, and the rumour is true, then Red Star could very well be back at Stade Bauer ready for the new season 2002-2003.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RED STAR ! On this day, 105 years ago, the famous Red Star club was born in Paris. Merci Jules Rimet !!!
SO WHO'S THE WANKER, CHARLIE ?. With just a couple of minutes remaining in the match Red Star v Lens, former Red Star goalkeeper Charles Itandje, now playing in the reserves at Lens, came across to where one of his colleagues lay injured, just in front of the stand containing Red Stars' real supporters. One of Red Stars' young fans shouted out playfully 'Do you want Red Star to stay in the CFA, Charles ?', referring to Charles having made several important saves. In return, Itandje made a series of rude gestures to the fans. Very charming indeed. The barrage of insults he received in reply was probably justified. |

COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE. Despite receiving a tonking on Sunday, Red Star still "head" the CFA, as Valenciennes could only draw with Troyes are still one point behind whilst just three points behind are Viry-Châtillon. |
