ONLY FOUR DAYS TO GO. Before Red Stars' return to the Stade Bauer at Saint-Ouen, home since 1910. A visit yesterday to the ground revealed that all is ready for the big day, just the final touches being appplied. For many it will be a chance to return to the club, as if life had stopped on May 8th, 1998, the date of the last game at Bauer. A happy chappy will be the owner of the Olympique Cafe across the road from the stadium, bereft of his match day clients since 1998. Inside, a cafe bar full of character, little changed in recent years, filled with mementos and souvenirs of past glories at Bauer. AUBERVILLIERS OUT. Red Stars' opponents on Saturday, local rivals Aubervilliers, were surprisingly beaten in the fourth round of the cup on Saturday by Livry-Gargan (PH) 1-2. |
