IMPORTANT NEWS…
At the start of the summer, the SAEMS (the company which runs the professional side of the club as well as the youth academy) was put into administration, with estimated debts of € 1 570 987 (10 305 000 F), the Tribunal de Grande Instance at Bobigny has appointed an administrator for the Association Sportive Red Star.
What exactly does this mean ? Well, the administrator has a period of up to six months during which he (or she) can attempt to come to agreement with creditors and eventually potential buyers for the club, or at worst can put the AS Red Star into liquidation.
Remember that on December 11th the Conseil des Prud'hommes de Bobigny (an industrial tribunal) will decide on the fate of the players and educators whose salaries are unpaid from last Spring.
Interviewed by Frédéric Gouaillard, in Le Parisien, Red Stars' secretary general Michel Castejon declared that he has no fears of there being an eventual voluntary liquidation of the club. Whatever, almost twenty five years after the Red Star first "died", the club is living what could be its last days.

WE'RE BACK. After three weeks of absence, the site is back up and running. Aplogies for the lack of information during this period.
So, let's see what's been happening. In the Cup, Red Star bowed out after a penalty shoot-out with Moissy-Cramayel. Despite leading 2-0, Red Star allowed the visitors to claw back into the game, and as Red Star ended the game with nine men, Moissy earned their ticket into the next round draw from the penalty spot. The weekend after Red Star grafted four points withj a -0 win over Beauvais reserves, one of the top teams in the group. Despite being under the cosh for most of the game, Syllas' sole goal proved to be the decider. Last Sunday a trip to Choisy-le-Roi proved fruitless, despite taking the lead in the game, again through Sylla just before the break. A goal in first-half injury time and another in the second half spoilt the days for Red Stars' youngsters, who are now showing a fighting spirit.
Off the park nothing has changed - silence from the management in the face of financial disaster. Le Parisien of the 8th of November carried a pretty damning article on the ailing club, with debts of € 1.5 million. Meanwhile the club are promising an internal inquiry to weed out those responsible for the current plight of the club, one wonders which scapegoat will get the blame for that ! While all that goes on, the matchday programme for the Beauvais game carried an editorial entitled "Let the festival go on !" Ha ha ha - shades of Nero fiddling while Rome burns...
Elsewhere certain ex-employees of the club have seen their arguments against the club verified by an Industrial Tribunal. Ex-coach Christophe Fiatte has attacked the club for unfair dismissal and to claim back what is due to him for two years of remaining contract.
COUPE DE PARIS. Next weekend Red Star travel to the Stade Chéron to play Saint-Maur in the Coupe de Paris, (Sunday November 24th, kick-off 2-30pm CET).
