RED STAR IN THE MONEY. According to the Seine-Saint-Denis edition of Le Parisien yesterday, the Conseil Général have just stumped up the sum of 110 000 euros to Red Star in order for the club to carry on until at least the end of the season. Will this influence the decision of the Bobigny court which will take place on the 31st of January ? On that date the immediate futore of Red Star could be decided. Or more likely will be stalled once more.
This sum of money, albeit a decent amount will not go towards reducing the enormous debts run up by years of mismanagement of Red Star, said to be in the region of € 570 987.
REFEREE. Thierry Clément, aged 37 from the Ligue de Lorraine will be Satrudays' referee at Chaumont, assisted by Yannick Dandrelle and Sébastien Paris.
ELSEWHERE THIS WEEKEND. The Under 16s are at home to the INF Clairefontaine, Sunday 26th January 3pm CET, on one of the outside pitche at Marville.
The Under 14s have a short trip to Compiègne.
The Under 18S will play Le Mée at home.

MORE TROUBLE. In the official journal of the FFF on 11th January, an article appeared concerning the non-production of several legal and financial documents, dated 12th November 2002;
The Commision has decided to inflict on ten CFA clubs (season 2001-2002), a fine of € 300 for eight clubs and € 1 500 for Trélissac … and Red Star !
The Commission has decided that if the situation has not been sorted out within two weeks, the punishment will be extended to :
- fine doubled
- Non-ratification of any new contracts over one of more seasons
- Exclusion from the Coupe de France
or one or two of these sanctions."
Note that the punishment was decided just before Red Star were placed in administration, so we are unaware of how this might have affected the club. But whatever the outcome, to run the risk of being excluded from the Coupe de France is a tough one. More to follow as the facts emerge...

NO-ONE HOME. Or away, to be more precise... not one representant of Red Star 93 at the match, other than the supporters present "The Dead Branches" according to the club. Loyalty if ever there was - okay, Chantilly is only forty minutes from Paris, but there was still a good turn out from Red Star on not the best of days weather-wise. Six euros to get in, four goals, two sendings off and plenty to talk about. Perhaps the good burghers of Chantilly should turn their minds away from horses and towards football for once....
Ground easy to find, just pass through town, then first on the right after the bridge over the river. Plenty of parking too, and a nice little stand (if draughty) for when it rains. Good views, and a food stall too.

INCOMPETENCE. Once again the current bunch of folk running Red Star 93 have shown their limited abilities in running a football club... this time Red Star have been deducted two points for the drawn game at home to Roye, where Red Star were adjudged to have fielded a player, Mickaël Santos, although he was suspended at the time. Red Star now have 23 points, two less than Aubervilliers and Chaumont.
Elsewhere, the FFF announced that the game on Saturday away at Chaumont has been postponed due to the poor weather conditions.
