GAMES IN HAND. With Red Star already having played Chalons-en-Champagne, the two teams have a rest day this weekend. The other teams with games in hand will catch up on their fixtures. This weekend sees : Reims - Ivry, Chartres - Chantilly, Roye - Créteil, Orléans - Rethel, Chaumont - Auxerre, Choisy-le-Roi - Aubervilliers and Beauvais - Saint-Quentin. POINT OF VIEW: IVRY. Following the comments made by Kamel Bousseliou, Ivry club react. They say that whilst understanding the point of view made by the player having spent eleven days in a hospital, the comments do not necessarily reflect the reality of the matter. Jean-Pierre Robin, Ivry coach goes on to say that the collision occurred whilst both players were airborne following a free kick. Ali Ouedraogo did not make a 25-metre run and Bousseliou did not have the ball in his hands. It was an accident and not a deliberate agression. At Ivry, we do not give out instructions of that sort. We prefer to lose a game rather than to deliberately foul.

DIVISION HONNEUR. Red Stars' reserves couldn't quite live up to the exploits of the first eleven this weekend. A home defeat to Cosmo Ermont-Taverny 0-1 and a last-minute goal puts Red Star into deep trouble at the foot of the table along with their next opponents Meaux. Next match Sunday March 16th. |

NO CHOICE. How many times have we carried that headline on this site in recent years ? Once again Red Star find themselves in a backs against the wall situation. Victory against Créteils' reserves is imperative. There are still forty points left to play for this season, and at the moment Red Star have thirty four. So no more messing around, its down to business for the serious stuff of winning. KAMEL BOUSSELIOU. Red Stars' goalkeeper is still under observation at the hospital at Kremlin-Bicêtre. Suffering from multiples fractures, he is awaiting an operation, delayed because has haematoma formed closer to his brain. Tomorrow evening the thoughts of the supporters will be with him, and we all send him our best regards and hope to see him soon back at Saint-Ouen. |

ECHOS FROM THE MATCH. Obviously the big talking point from Sundays' game was the injury to Red Stars' goalkeeper Kamel Bousseliou. The shambles that Red Star has become as a club was evident in that there was only one club representant at Ivry. In the absence of the regular sponge man, the guy who tore down the supporters' banners at the Aubervilliers game, it was left to François Sarrea to carry the bucket. When Kamel went down, he was attended to by both François and the Ivry bucket man, and his injuries were serious enough to merit a call for an ambulance. The ambulance arrived quick enough, to their credit, but as our François was the only club representative present, there was no-one to accompany the unfortunate goalkeeper to hospital. Perhaps the clubs' directors were too busy writing out next Saturdays' match programme editorial, thinking of nasty things to say about the supporters to actually go to Ivry. |
