VILLEMOMBLE. The Stade Georges Pompidou, rue de Neuilly, Villemomble is a bit tricky to get to by public transport; you'll have to take the RER E at the Gare Magenta (Paris), get off 25 minutes later at Gagny. Then youll have a 1km walk to find the ground. ALSO THIS WEEK-END. With the school holidays taking place at the moment, not much youth team action this weeked: |

RED STAR BOW OUT OF CUP. Red Stars' youngsters saw there Gambardella Cup run come to an end on Saturday at Bauer. Strasbourg proved to be too strong for Red Star, eventually running out 4-1 winners. During the first forty-five minutes, however the dream of a trip to the Stade de France in the final seemed possible to Red Star, but a hotly-disputed penalty awarded just before the break and converted by Carlier was a major setback. UNDER 16s. Yesterday at the Stade Marville, Red Stars under 16s played out a goal-less draw with Paris FC, finishing the game with only ten men.

After the Second World War Gambardella led what was later to become the LNF before succeeding Jules Rimet as president of the FFF from 1949 until his death in 1953. SUNDAYS' GAME IN PHOTOS
Red Stars' third away win of the season should have been more convincing had they not let in two late second-half goals. Big Franck had virtually sealed the win with his first goal for the club, playing now as a striker rather than a left-back, in the shoes of Chris Sutton or Paul Warhurst. The win over PSG is also Red Stars' first double of the season, following a 2-1 home win at Bauer back in October. Jean-Luc Girard was happy with the win, coming on familiar territory for Gigi, having spent many years at the Camp des Loges as a trainee with PSG. |

Thanks to Gérard, Red Stars' management, coach Jean-Luc Girard and the groundsman for making it all happen. |
