HAMME QUITS RED STAR. Red Stars' combative midfielder Jimmy Hamme has announced that he has signed for CFA club Paris FC. Hamme, who started as a youngster with Red Star before moving on to D2 club Châteauroux as an apprentice pro, mostly figured as a substitute during the promotion campaign, but nevertheless played an important rôle in the push for the CFA 2. He will perhaps be most remembered for his last-gasp winner at Le Mée which virtually sent Red Star into the CFA 2.

For the moment, no other departures have been announced at Saint-Ouen. Jimmys' departure has been greeted by dismay among the supporters of Red Star, one fan was disappointed to see him leave for a club "seemingly without ambition" which has "a poor stadium with a small fan base".
On the arrivals front, Enis Saïti won't be returning to Stade Bauer and another ex-Red Star man Salah Mahdjoub is in talks with DH club Saint-Leu. Richard Akiana continues to train with Red Star - is he still on the move to Qatar as predicted ?

RESERVES. Red Star reserves came mighty close to a promotion spot, and would have featured had it not been for some indifferent results at the start of the season. Coach Francesco Scaratti will be hoping for better next season.

CEDRIC MALHOMME Cédric Malhomme, Red Stars' under 14s coach for the last two seasons will leave the club. His professional activities, his family life as well as the difficulty in making away trips and training sessions with the squad render the situation difficult. We wish Cédric the best of luck and thank him for his hard work and dedication to the club as well as his contributions to this site.
His place at the head of the Under 14s will be taken by ALI HOMRI, one of the backroom staff of Red Stars' youth teams.

LAST MATCH AT BAUER. The final under 14s' clash of the season between Red Star & Le Bourget takes place at Stade Bauer on Sunday June 5th at 3pm CET.
PARISIAN FOOTBALL IN THE NEWS. Firstly, the announcement that Racing have been relegated from the National into the DH for three seasons, following severe financial difficulties at the Colombes' club. The players haven't been paid for three weeks and the debt is estimated at around one million euros. We hope that this does not spell the end for one of Frances most famous clubs. Elsewhere, Choisy-le-Roi (CFA 2) have also been relegated from their division following a late late rule change by the FFF. Bourges, another CFA 2 outfit, had earlier this season gone out of business. The FFF have now decided that to even things out a little, the results for all the fourteenth-placed clubs against the bottom clubs in their respective decisions don't count in the classification of best-fourteenth-placed club. In the last match of the season Choisy and Villemomble played out a tedious nil-nil draw and the Val de Marne club thus thought that they were safe. However, yesterdays' decision now means that they will take Red Stars' place in the DH. The decision also has repercussions for luckless Evry - they now find themselves relegated from the DH. They will be hoping that either Racing are sucessful in their appeal against the decsions or that Entente Sannois Saint-Gratien are winners of their promotion play-offs.
