VICTORY FOR RED STAR !. ...but not on the pitch. The Law Courts in Bobigny announced their decision on the case Red Star FC 93 v M. Gérard Cuzin this week. Good news for Red Star, the courts found nothing illegal or unethical in the current running and the finances of the club. Therefore M. Cuzins' case was effectively thrown out. OFFICIALS Sébastien Crampon will be the man with the whistle at Bauer, and will be assisted by Luc Chevereau and Gérard Tardy. The latter pair were on duty for Red Stars' historic game last season at Bauer against Evry (2-0). Louis Vincenti and Maurice Charreire are the fourth officials for the Rouen game.
ALSO IN THE CFA 2. Leaders Le Havre are at home to Saint-Omer, Valenciennes will have to be on guard against another pro reserve, Amiens; Cambrai take on Evreux; Avion v Arras; Oissel v Armentières; Abbeville v Chantilly. Finally local rivals Entente SSG could do Red Star a favour by beating Saint-Quentin. |

RED STAR ESCAPE WITH DRAW. Red Stars' long trip to Saint-Omer ended with an own goal, a late equaliser, the star striker sent off from the subs' bench, a minor pitch invasion and a victory for their closest rivals. Meanwhile coach Jean-Luc Girard stressed that Red Star are still at the top of the league and thanked the supporters for their encouragments. RED STAR RESULTS. FOOT FRANCILIEN. The magazine of the Ligue de Paris « Foot Francilien » carries an interview with Red Stars' president, Bruno Davoine. The interview covers the current off-pitch problems and the row between the management and other factions. M. Davoine again stresses that there is no truth in the rumours of fusion with Sannois-Saint-Gratien and that the directors and dedicated to their previously stated aims for Red Star. M. Davoine speaks honestly and openly, a far cry from the dark days of the previous junta and also from the confused claims of some of the clubs' current detractors. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU... . Last week saw the birthdays of Red Stars' Franck Gueï (23) and Alhaji Baldé (24). Today, speedy winger Davidson Charles turns 23. AllezRedStar.com wish a very happy birthday to our bright prospects !
LADIES TO THE FORE. Whilst not directly connected to Red Star, and at the same time somewhat neglected by the press, last Saturday an otherwise run of the mill CFA 2 encounter in Paris between Levallois and Hagueneau took signifact proportions in as much as the game was refereed by a team of three ladies, Sarah Girard assisted by Stéphanie Frappart and Valérie Boulestin. The latter two are no strangers to Stade Bauer, having officiated several times. An initiative to be congratulated and bravo to the ladies !

NSIMBA BACK. Red Star will be boosted for their crucial trip to Saint-Omer by the return of vastly influential skipper Revis N'Simba, sidelined by injury since the win at home to Avion. Reevis has been sorely missed and hopefully with his return Red Star can get back to winning ways.
OFFICIALS. Saturdays' game will be officiated by Monsieur Giovanni Richard assisted by Messieurs Carlos Monteiro & Hamid Guenaoui |

RED STAR SCRAPE DRAW. Red Star now are three games without a win following another draw at Bauer on Saturday evening against a compact Cambrai outfit. The home side really should have taken the lead early in the game when a pildriver from Franck Gueď flew just over the bar, but after this Girards' men slumped into a lifeless performance, incapable of stringing two passes together. Visitors Cambrai took the lead on sixty five minutes and a small group of tossers in the crowd started calling for the resignation of Red Stars' directors. These uninformed types were jumping for joy however when later in the game likeable defender Nabile Yessad was on hand to give Red Star a rare equaliser, something they have not earned in a very long time.
