NEW ARRIVALS. Most of last seasons' squad have decide to stay at Red Star in the CFA, and with several new arrivals at the club, Red Star are hoping to play a big role in next seasons' championship. Here is a brief roll call of the arrivals at the club:

  • Khaled KEMAZ, aged 25. For four seasons he was a trainee with Paris Saint-Germain before moving to Scotland where he spent two seasons with Dundee FC before Terry Butcher signed him at Motherwell. Injury curtailed his appearances before he returned to France and a spell at Les Lilas. He scored twenty six goals in 2004-2005 before another move to L2 outfit Créteil. More often than not in the reserves, he nevertheless scored twelve times in thirteen outings. Despite approaches from Paris FC (National) as well as other clubs, Khaled chose RED STAR for a chapter in his sporting career and a chance to work again with former coach Bruno NAIDON.
  • Noumouke SISSOKO, aged 27 is returning with his family to his native France after a three year stint with a Belgian 2nd division club. He played for Bruno Naidon with the France Universitaire team.
  • Renaud MILHERE, aged 26 and a former defensive midfielder with Villemomble and seven years experience in the CFA..
  • Moussa OUATTARA, aged 23 has also been a professional with Raith Rovers in Scotland before playing last season with Les Lilas.
  • Yannick BERTHIER, aged 25, midfielder has CFA experience with Vesoul and Noisy-le-Sec as well as a six month spell with Viry-Châtillon.

STAYING. Red Star FC 93 announced earlier today the list of last seasons' players whom have agreed to stay and continue the forward push of the club. They are:
Yann BELL, Salifou MAMA, Bilal HAMMAMI, Nabile YESSAD, Vincent FOURNEUF, Kaba DIOMANDE, Ibrahim TOUNKARA, Reevis N'SIMBA, Azzedine BENMESMOUDI & Davidson CHARLES. Tomorrow exclusively on this site we will bring you the details of the new signings at the club.
DHR. Yesterday evening, despite alternative attractions (!) on the TV, several spectators were on hand to take in a preparation game organised by Red Stars' reserve team boss David Giguet against a mixed team of first-teamers, reserves and hopefuls of Cosmo Ermont-Taverny. In the charming little stadium Jean-Bouin in Taverny, fifteen Red Star players gave a good performance and earned a 1-1 draw against their hosts. Familiar faces in the Red Star squad included Demba Diawara, Harry Vitalien, Mohammed Aklouche, Nabyl Lettat, Samir Sahridj as well as Sébastien Dewambez, a former Red Star man who has featured on first-team outings in the DH.
Red Star dominated the early exchanges but failed to really trouble the home goalkeeper. Just before half time a clumsy tackle in the penalty area gifted a spot kick to Cosmo, duly converted. 1-0 at the break. With coach David Giguets' half-time pep talk still ringing in their ears, the youngsters drew level following a half-cleared corner, talented defender Harry Vitalien placing a fine shot into the Cosmo net. No futher goals but Red Star went close on several occasions and even rattled the woodwork with one late effort. Coach Giguet was globally pleased with the performance, the basis is good and there needs just some tactical tweaking to be caried out here and there.
