LATEST NEWS. The holiday period meant that the English version of the site hasn't been updated for a few days; our apologies for this. Quite a lot has happened since the last update, so here are the main details. Preparations continued with a game against L2 outfit Châteauroux at the national teams' training centre in Clairefontaine. Former Red Star man Bourama Ouattara was a thorn in Red Stars' side, scoring twice as his new club ran out 3-2 winners. Red Stars' goals were scored by Da Costa and Kaba Diomande, all goals coming in the first half. Meanwhile, some good news for Red Star came when it was announced that prolific striker Azzedine Benmesmoudi will not have to undergo suergery on his foot as was previously feared. A new plater pot on his foot and his could be back in training in six weeks time. Azzedine was on hand to watch his team mates at Clairefontaine.
For the third outing of the season against Reims (L2/CFA 2), Red Star were without the injured Benmesmoudi and Hammami, Reevis N’Simba out with a sciatic problem, Khaled Kemas (personal reasons) and Badougou Sambague. |

RED STARS' CFA GROUP ANNOUNCED. The FFF have published a list of the clubs making up Group D of the CFA. It covers roughly the area of Paris, Normandy and Brittany, with the exception of Auxerres' reserves. However, it must be noted that French football is notoriously fickle and with the future of several clubs in the balance, notably Beauvais, Cannes, Romorantin, Entente and Yzeure, the make-up of the group could yet change again. For the moment, here is the list: |
