THREE NEW FACES. Red Star FC 93 continue their recrutement for the season 2007-2008 and announce the arrival of three players:
Mamadou SOW, midfielder, who last season was with Greek D2 club Ethnikon Asteras.
Taïmmy NEGRECHE, striker, born 22nd May 1983 in Domont, whom joins the Saint-Ouen club from Dieppe. Taïmmy played against Red Star twice this season.
Noël MOUKILA, striker, born on Christmas Day 1977 (hence the name Noël), in Brazzaville in the Congo. He joins us from Châtellerault, club relegated from the National. Last season he featured in twenty two games, scoring five goals in the process. His previous clubs include Saint-Malo, where he scored twelve goals in twenty seven games, before moving to Saint-Brieuc, where he scored twenty three times in thiry four games in the CFA. He has also played in the National for three clubs; Reims, Cherbourg and latterly Châtellerault. Incidentally he is the son of Paul Moukila, African footballer of the year in 1974. Noël is also an international, having played alongside former Red Star man Richard Akiana in the Congolese national side.

COMINGS AND GOINGS AT RED STAR. The club have published a list of the players retained and released and players leaving the club. This is the situation as of yesterday evening, the situtation will very likely change and more new faces will be brought into the club, even if the majority of last years' squad remains unchanged. Here is the list :
Goalkeepers : Yoann Djidonou, Mohamed Diakité
Defence : Christophe Haguy, Eugène Kangulungu, Eric Lacomat, José Nseke, Ibrahim Tounkara, Nabile Yessad
Midfield : Yannick Berthier, Nicolas Fabiano, Loïc Ghili, Moussa Ouattara
Atack : Bedi Buval, Geoffroy Da Costa, Grégory Lefort, Mickaël Marquet, Elysée MBanza
Three players are moving on to pastures new, at a higher level (National):
- Vincent Fourneuf, captain, joins Pau, club coached by Jean-Luc Girard.
- Kaba Diomande joins neighbours Villemomble.
- Abdoulaye Diawara has signed for Paris FC.
Also leaving the club are Reevis N’Simba, Bilal Hammami (Levallois, CFA 2), Khaled Kemas (Ivry, CFA 2), Azzedine Benmesmoudi, Badou Sambague, & Florent Moulin. Renaud Miherre has decided to leave the club. Arriving at Red Star :
- David Couto Pinto (Les Lilas).
- Sébastien Robert (midfield), previously with Noisy-le-Sec, Le Havre, Fécamp, RC Paris, Aubervilliers, Zarzis (Tunisie).
- Bouzid Yosri, aka Youbi, striker, from Saint-Denis (DH).
The latter pair played in the friendly against Villemomble.

NEW SIGNING Red Star unveiled their first signing of the new season yesterday. He is in fact an old boy returning to the club - defender David Couto Pinto joins from Les Lilas. He has also played for Racing in the CFA before moving on to Les Lilas in 2004. Born 13th Feburary 1984, David was a key member of the successful under 18s Coupe Gambardella season which reached the quarter finals in 2001. He is therefore a former team mate of Abdoulaye Diawara and Kaba Diomande.

THIRD FRIENDLY Red Star played another preparation game yesterday evening at coach Bruno Naidons' former club Les Lilas. The game ended 3-2 to Red Star, whom featured a team of triallists. One player who also played against Vilemomble is central defender Milos Simovic, another ex-Red Star youth team player who was latterly with the reserve team of Entente Sannois-Saint-Gratien.

NEWS ROUND-UP On Friday evening, 1st June, Red Star fielded an experimental line up at Bauer in a preparation game against neighbours Villemomble, freshly promoted to the National. With many triallists involved on both sides, Red Star lost the game 2-0, bith goals coming in a spell of five minutes. Familiar faces in the Red Star line-up included Kangulungu, Lacomat, Benmesmoudi and in the second half Marquet, Ouattara, Tounkara, Vitalien and Diakité. Red Star are at Les Lilas tonight in another friendly.

Red Stars' third XI completed their season with a fine 4-0 win over Bagnolet. Promotion achieved, the task next season will not be as easy. For the record, In eighteen games played, Red Star won 17, drew 1 and were unbeaten, scoring a remarkable 134 goals for 12 conceded.
With the season finished, May and June is traditionally the time for youth touraments, and this year is no exception. Red Stars' under 11s took part in a tournament recently in Marseille and photos are published on this site. The under 13s, promoted, are off to Montlucon for one such competition. Meanwhile, the "poussins" age group took part and won a tournament in the south of Paris in Vanves.

The affair PSG - Red Star is back in the news again - the Police have caught up with two of the perpetrators of the attack on the Red Star supporters at the Camp des Loges on the 4th of March this year. Antoine and Adrien were arrested at their homes last week, after a police operation. Antoine, whom is alleged to have links with the extreme right, works in IT. On his mobile, police found a video of him sporting a little Hitler moustache and making racist comments. He was banned from football stadia after the death last November of PSG supporter Julien Quémeneur. Adrien, postman, has also been banned from football for three years. He has admitted to the Camp des Loges incidents. Antoine, however, has denied any involvement, citing mistaken identity despite having been formally identified on photos taken by Red Star supporters durng the attack by his victims as well as by Adriens' girlfriend. The pair are due to appear in court.
