Former player with Lille, AC Ajaccio, Marseille, Sète & Orléans Coach since 1981. Arrived at Abbeville in July 1998 (photo - playing for Marseille, 1976) Abbeville, formed at the start of the 1900's played their first game on the 26th of January 1902. In 1936, Abbeville took part in the Championnat de France in the professional division three. Despite repeated bombings during the second world war, the ground managed to escape unscathed. The club were promoted to the DH in 1957, then in 1965 the club reached the heights of the CFA, at that time the third division. Back again to the DH in 1977, Abbeville reached Division 2 where they remained until 1990, with such names as Robert Tyrakowski, Pierre Garcia, Georges Eo, Patrick Gonfalone. After turning professionnel in 1986, the club unfortunately then went on to liquidation and a plummet into the DH.
