The reserves can only be promoted if the first team achieves promotion to the L1. Therefore the objective this season is to remain in the CFA 2 and to develop youngsters ready for the first XI. The team is very young and is occasionally reinforced by several professional players. Red Stars' Alhaji Baldé has a younger brother in the first team at Amiens who is currently one of the divisions' top scorers.
