DOSSIER ERIC CHARRIER  RED STAR 93

There remain only two candidates to take over Red Star. The TGI in Bobigny will make their final decision on the 19th of June. The "winner" will be either Eric Charrier or Jean-Yves Le Gourrierec. Today, we present the full dossier proposed by Eric Charrier. No particular reason why we present this on first - remember that this site is neutral and has no preference for one or the other.

DOSSIER ERIC CHARRIER

LUIS FERNANDEZ WANTS TO SAVE A PIECE OF FRENCH FOOTBALL HISTORY

PRESS RELEASE
LUIS FERNANDEZ WANTS TO SAVE RED STAR.
2nd June 2003.

Luis Fernandez has announced that he wishes to be associated with the Eric Charriers' Red Star takeover project.
“Red Star, mythical club with a prestigious history is in danger. In have therefore decided to join the team led by Eric Charrier, whose project is on a sound base both sporting and financially. The objective is to save Red Star and to make it the leading formative club in the Ile-de-France. I hope to bring my experience, and even though I will not be there next season, I will stay in permanent contact with the club.”
Luis Fernandez, very aware of the training of young footballers in the Paris region, will bring, as a shareholder, all his help in the form of technical advice and credibility towards the numerous partners alaready associated with the project.
The hearing for the interested parties in the takeover will tkae place on the 5th of June, with the final decision to be announced two weeks later.

THE SPORTING PROJECT

  • Make Red Star the leading formative club in the Ile-de-France.
  • Establish the first team in the CFA2 and try to gain promotion to the CFA then the National in the medium-term.
  • Bring back the RED STAR spirit.

The most urgent job is to restructure the club in reorganising the internal functionment with new management methods and communications and regaining the confodence of the local associations, players, volunteers and suppliers. The aim is in the medium term (five years) to reach the level of the National, by tapping the internal academy, our young players thanks to a competent human and technical coaching staff.
An important part of the project is the employment of several youngsters currently looking for work, of unemployed people at the UNFP (the players' union) and a partnership with the UNFP is currently being discussed. They would be from the Seine-Saint-Denis area, or even from the Ile-de-France with retraining possibilities. The rest of the first team and the other teams will be made up of players trained at the club. The training of youngsters is the principle theme of our project.
RED STAR will build on the quality of its coaches and youngsters. We plan the creation of a Pre-formation center in 2004 for youngsters aged 13 to 16. A sound structure run on professional lines, the center will benefit from a partnership with colleges, schools, the league, the district and the FFF.
The charter RED STAR, a true route map, will help in the restoring of the true values of Red Star - Respect, Rigour and Success will allow Red Star to rediscover its soul.

THE ECONOMIC & SOCIAL PROJECT

Promotion of the club, the stadium and the name.

Use of the club and the Stade Bauer for internal and external activities - for example "Les Puces du Football", "le Tournoi des Clubs Centenaires"), and of publicity - shirts, advertising hoardings; promotion and commercial : creation of a Football musuem at Saint-Ouen, sporting and social activities.
The stadium will be used the maximum possible. A stadium open to the public in the framework of a policy of the town which is innovative and which will generate revenue for the club.
The club ia a club of the people and we wish to associate the economic project with a social project. Thanks to education, to the support of our partners and local associations, we will help youngsters to find a stable job with a vluable professional experience.
