Meaux is a town in the Seine-et-Marne region with over 50 000 inhabitants. Famous for its cathedral, the Bossuet museum, (Bossuet was a writer and eventually Bishop of Meaux) … and of course its famous cheese, Brie. Although the stadium is rather removed from the town center in a rather unattractive area - exercise caution in and around the ground. It might be a good idea to go to the stadium by taxi from the station rather than walking or public transport. There is one small stand, the rest of the ground is open. Incidentally, the entrance to the car park is protected by a chicane and a height limiter - if you've got a big car, forget it !
Last season Red Star drew 1-1 there, both goals coming in injury time. Yves Desmarets appeared to pulled off a smash-and-grab job for Red Star until the home side drew level moments later from a free-kick.
Internet site : You have to be joking !
Famous ex-players: Franck LeBoeuf, erstwhile Chelsea defender
Pointless trivia :  Did you know that people who live in or come from Meaux are called Meldois ?
