Incredible but true

The population of Luzenac, which is situated in the Ariège departément of France is around the seven hundred mark. The town is only sixty five kilometres from Andorra, and is famous for its talc mine, from which talcum powder is made. The nearest big town is Foix (pop. 9000), 34km away. This is Luzenacs' third season in the National, previously they have finished tenth and twelfth. Obviously they hold the record for the smallest place ever to have had a team in the thrid division. That would be like Manningtree in the UK having a third division club, playing the likes of Sheffield United, Charlton and Huddersfield Town, as well as derby games against nearby Colchester United...
