Malakoff play at the Stade Marcel Cerdan, which in 1953 was the scene of a famous match against the Hungarian national team, fresh from a historic 6-3 win at Wembley, the first home defeat for England.

The arrival of 400 metres hurdler Yves Cros as coach brought sucess to the club. Firstly Parisian champions, unbeaten during the season DH of 1965-66 which earned them a place in the CFA (D 3 at that time). Playing were the Palauqui brothers and Pech who went on to star for Nantes. Malakoff stayed at this level until 1984-85, except for one season 1975-76 when they reached the heady heights of D2.

The team from the Hauts de Seine played in the CFA cup final of 1974-75, played in front of 4000 spectators. Ahbate, Cadiou, Collat, Fercoq, Bérangé, Bocq and company lost 2-1 at Marcel Cerdan before going down 2-3 on the away leg against Bastia reserves.
In 1979-80, Cros retired and his place was taken by the captain Yvon Fercoq. Several young players went on to make a name for themselves - Jean-Pierre Orts, Serge Besançon (later to play for Red Star), the Belchior brothers, Valente, Xavier Pérez (another future Red Star player).
In 1991-92, Malakoff slipped into the DH. A few seasons ago, their coach was ex-Red Star player Robert Pintenat (photo).
