Last season Strasbourgs' first team coupled the glory of winning the French cup against Amiens with the ignominy of relegation from the first division.

The reserve team play in the CFA, their fifth consecutive season, with a majority of players nurtured at their center of excellence.

Part-way thorugh this season former coach Yvon Pouliquen left the club in order to join first division outfit Lorient (D 1). He is replaced by Jacky Duguépéroux, born 20th January 1948 in Saint-Malo. A former player with Valenciennes and Strasbourg (Champion de France 1979). He has also been coach of the first team at Strasbourg.

Vincent Doukantie, former Red Star man, made several appearances in the reserves last season, but is now back in a regular first team berth.
