Valenciennes only possible target this season is to bounce back into the National, just like Mulhouse and Red Star. All three are former D1 clubs fallen on hard times. Valenciennes have had to shake up their squad for this season, and also changed is the club president; the newly named man in charge is a lawyer, Ghislain Hannicotte.
