Updated 28th April ALL THE WEEKEND MATCHES. This weekend, loads of choice for true Red Star 93 fans, with several local derbies taking place. Here's the full calendar: (All times CET) Updated 27th April FOLLOWING BELISSAOUI, TACALFRED. Aziz Belissaoui will be sidelined for two months, as a result of his broken arm sustained at Pacy. Meanwhile, Mickaël Tacalfred will be keeping him company on the sick bay, nursing a broken nose. For Mickaël too the season is finished. Updated 26th April INS AND OUTS. Whilst still awaiting news of possible arrivals, above all in the strike force, certain departures are on the cards. Apart from Karim Fellahi, Eric Obina, Blaise Mamoun, Alain Durand, Laurent Delanoue and Cédric Lestic could be on their way to pastures new. As for Hakim Saci and Vincent Doukantie, their leaving depends upon propositions from other clubs..more to follow.. Updated 25th April LEAGUE CUP FINAL. Gueugnon won the League Cup final, beating Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 in the final at the Stade de France. Whilst happy for David Fanzel, IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN US !!! Updated 21st April LOOK TO NEXT SEASON. Despite there remaining five matches, Red Star 93 have already started preparations for next season, a vital season for the future of the club. The departure of Karim Fellahi is almost certain, now, no doubt to Red Stars' partner club, Saint-Etienne. Meanwhile Red Star 93 have lost no time in recruiting Tony Cascarino to bolster the strike force (see yesterdays news). Updated 20th April TONY CASCARINO TO SIGN FOR RED STAR 93. On Saturday Jean-Claude Bras should finally get his man - Irish international striker Tony Cascarino. The big striker, scorer of twelve goals this season in D1 with Nancy, has played eighty times in the top division. Born 1st September 1963 in Saint-Paul, Eire, 1, 90 m tall for 79 kg, his clubs include Gillingham, Millwall, Aston Villa, Celtic, Chelsea, Marseille, Nancy and as from next season Red Star 93. Updated 19th April GARDENING CORNER. Our friends from London (see Mondays' news) pointed out the quality of the pitch at Marville. The greenkeepers will be at work Thursday and Friday to improve the drainage and the quality of the turf. Next week the training pitch will undergo a similar treatment. Updated 18th April FIXTURE CONGESTION. Looking for reasons why Red Star have blown the championship campaign. Well, look no further than the fixture list since the start of January up until April 15th - 20 matches in total. (4 in the Coupe de la Ligue: Nîmes, Saint-Etienne, Sedan, Gueugnon; 3 in the Coupe de France: Levallois, Le Havre, Lyon; 13 in the league: Angers, Besançon, Raon-l'Etape, Reims, Thouars, Grenoble, Valenciennes, Clermont, Paris FC, Racing, Pau, Istres & Evry). A game every five days, sometimes three games per week. Against Evry Red Star notched their first league goals at home this year (the match against Racing took place at the Stade de France). Updated 17th April CEDRIC LESTIC. Cédric Lestic, following his hat-trick exploits last week in the reserves returned to the first team squad, coming on as a late substitue and rapping the bar with a fine effort. Updated 14th April OOPS - COLEMANBALLS ! It will be BRETIGNY and not Le Mans as we stated yesterday the visitors for the Red Star under-17's this weekend. Sorry ! Updated 13th April BRAVO CALAIS. Our congratulations to Calais for their extraordinary win against Bordeaux. A double Red Star 93 in the League Cup Final and Calais in the Coupe de France would have been the dream ticket, but... Whatever, good luck to the Calaisiens ! Updated 12th April SILENCE. Yesterday it was noted that L'Equipe and France Football failed to mention last nights' match - well, Le Parisien went one better with a rather belated April Fools' gag - yesterdays' edition mentioned the match, and gave the kick off as being at 8pm CET instead of 6pm CET. Their man duly turned up at the press box at half past seven ! How many supporters did this cost Red Star ? Even some of the other Red Star Internet sites were had too: the ones which unashamedly rip off the Paris newspaper copied verbatim the time from the paper. It just goes to prove, this is the only one which counts, folks... Updated 11th April TONIGHT AT 6PM CET, STADE MARVILLE. Here are the teams for tonights' match, which will be refereed by M. Sergeant. Updated 10th April RESERVE TEAM NEWS: Red Star reserves hammered Tourcoing 6-1 on Saturday in CFA2, goals coming from Lestic (3), Durand (2) and Eric Obina.
Updated 7th April RED STAR 93 - PAU.
Here's the line-up of the two teams for tonights' match Updated 6th April In addition to Monday nights' sickening defeat, the Reserves lost yesterday afternoon at home to Wasquehal 1-0. Watched by several first team luminaries, including Karim Fellahi, a goal by the Wasquehalien Ngom won the match. Red Star also had Déom sent off and coach Patrice Lecornu banished from the dugout. Team: Bayiha, F. Mary, Pando (Jolibois 81ème), Natchimie, Guidali, Deom, Obina, F. Diawara, Rangdet (Gomis 66ème), Aïchour, Durand.

NATIONAL (Week 35). Red Star 93 will be without Belissaoui and Tacalfred, both injured. Noisy have Eugène Kangulungu suspended, but other than that Rachid Sandjak has a full squad available. Other matches this weekend are : Besançon - Racing, Clermont - Pau, Fréjus - Beauvais, Grenoble - Martigues, Istres - Pacy, Reims - Angers.
SUSPENSION. Following the pitch invasion at the end of the Lyon cup-tie, the Fédération Française de Football has closed Marville for the last match of the season, and Red Star will have to play on a neutral venue at least fifty kilometres from Paris. Red Star have appealed against the decision, naturally. Thanks indeed to the tossers who got the ground closed - the ones that haven't come back to Marville since the Lyon cup match, and who won't be affected by having to trail halfway across France to watch a meaningless end-of-season game.
VOTE FOR ME AND I'LL SET YOU FREE ! Apologies to the Temptations, but you can still vote in the end of season poll. Early front runners are Karim, Richard Akiana and Jean-Marc Branger, but get voting now and the situation could easily change ! Vote and win with the BEST RED STAR 93 site on the web !!!
WEEK-END OF THE DERBIES. On Saturday, the first local derby with Red Star 93 taking on Noisy-le-Sec in the National at Marville. On Sunday there are three vital matches: in the CFA 2 the reserves welcome top club Levallois; in the DHR, a victory over Noisy-le-Sec and promotion becomes likely for the third XI; finally the under-17's, coached by Alain Bornand take on Paris Saint-Germain with the hopes of making the final phase of their competition. Details should appear on this site tomorrow.
SAMUEL MICHEL IN THE D1. Samuel Michel (see photo) with Guingamp has just earned their place in the top flight for next season. After a disastrous spell with Rennes, the ex-Red Star hero has another chance to show off his talents to a wider audience in the elite.
AZIZ BELISSAOUI. Having come back from injury yet again, Aziz broke his arm at Pacy, falling heavily.
REFEREE. Despite making only one mistake, that being the sending off of Sirufo, referee Mr Khendek had a decent game at Pacy. Commonsense prevailed in the majority of cases, giving the players a good talking to usually resolved the situation. This obviously didn't appeal to some of the Pacy supporters present, as the referee, of North African origin was urged to "go back home" by a senseless twat in the crowd.
CAMILLE OPONGA. Camille was on International duty with the Congo in a World Cup match, beating Equatorial Guinea 2-1.
TRIALS. In recent days a player from Cameroon, currently plying his trade in D1 in Greece has been training with Red Star.
TONY CASCARINO. Big Tone finally signed a one-year deal with Red Star, Saturday at Marville.
REIMS - RED STAR 93 : 0-4. Red Star reserves are now third in the CFA2 after goals from Aîchour (2), Fabrice Mary and Durand beat their hosts.
Tony took part in one of the more memorable matches in recent years, the 2-1 victory for Red Star over Marseille on the 9th of September 1994 (see photo)
MYSTERY MAN. The mystery man in our great give-away game is none other than STEVE MARLET, nowadays plying his trade with first division Auxerre. The photo was taken during a match in DH in September 1991. The lucky winner will receive a Red Star scarf and a signed photo of Steve Marlet - the name will appear on this site next week.
NATIONAL. Due to the League Cup final taking place tomorrow evening, this weeks' round of National matches will take place tonight, with the exception of Noisy-le-Sec - Grenoble, which will take place tomorrow afternoon. Despite having nothing left to play for, except pride, Red Star hope to finish the season on a high note, by stringing a series of good wins together.
In the table, it appears as though the relegation issues have been settled; Raon-l'Etape, Paris FC, Evry and Fréjus, barring a miracle seem doomed.
At the other end, Angers welcome Fréjus, leaders Beauvais are at home to Reims and second placed Martigues take on bottom club Raon-l'Etape. Clermont and Istres travel to Colombes (Racing) and Thouars respectively.
Next week is the derby of Seine-Saint-Denis : Red Star 93 - Noisy-le-Sec. Earlier this season the Audoniens won 2-0.
LEAGUE CUP. Tomorrow evening it's the final of the League Cup, PSG-Gueugnon, but IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN US !!
CFA 2. Reims - Red Star 93 reserves, Sunday 3pm CET, Stade Auguste Delaune, Reims
DIRECTION SAINT-ETIENNE ? It appears more and more likely that Karim Fellahis' future lies with Saint-Etienne. Les Verts, who have booked their place for another season in the top flight following a goalless draw at Lyon, start their recruitment campaign for next season.
PACY-SUR-EURE - RED STAR 93. Your match referee will be Monsieur Khendek.

MYSTERY MAN. Last day, but here's a clue to help you in our fantastic competition. The photo was taken in match of the Division d'Honneur, Red Star 93 - Lusitanos. Scout round the site & you'll soon find the answer !
TOP SCORERS. With five matches remaining, Richard Akiana leads the way with 12, followed by Karim Fellahi 9, Vincent Doukantie 6, Hakim Saci 4.
NICOLAS MERMET (see photo). Former Red Star player now with Louhans-Cuiseaux, has been forced to retire from the game with knee problems, despite several operations. Best wishes to Nicolas and good luck for the future outside of the game.
SPY. Daniel Jeandupeux, General Manager of Caen was an interested spectator in the crowd.
KARIM FELLAHI. Karim, purused by Auxerre, Le Havre, Strasbourg and Saint-Etienne, will shortly make a decision on his future.
MISSING. Not only the terraces, but also the press box... where have they all gone and what a contrast from only a few weeks ago !
AZIZ BELISSAOUI. Scorer of the two goals in the reserves' triumph at Amiens, Aziz would desperately like to play at Pacy on Friday, where he started his career.
ABSENT. Evry's top scorer Thomas Muenimanu was out through injury.
BENJAMIN CLEMENT. Sidelined through a heel injury but present in the stand.
FOREVER BLOWING BUBBLES...Three supporters of West Ham FC were present, on a weekend break from London. Originally hoping to see PSG-Lens, which was brought forwards to Friday night, Neil, John & Jason instead settled for a much better option and saw Red Stars' 3-0 win. Good choice, lads ! Despite going to Bauer by mistake, they eventually found Marville and Red Stars' "English Supporters' Section".
NATIONAL. Whilst Red Star settle for mid-table mediocrity, Beauvais (victory over the fast-fading Besançon), Martigues (win at troubled Fréjus), Angers (2-0 defeat of Noisy), others vaguely in the running are Istres, Clermont and Grenoble.
At the other end, the four for the drop are virtually decided. Paris FC, Raon-l'Etape and Evry, along with Fréjus are in deep trouble.
In the CFA for promotion are : Roche-sur-Yon, Alès (with ex-Red Star Raphaël Vasquez); Dijon and Boulogne, Brest and Saint-Maur Lusitanos. Coming down into the National should be Louhans-Cuiseaux (already down), Valence are in deep shit and in the other spot Amiens, Créteil, Wasquehal, Niort, Cannes and Nîmes are all slugging it out.
PACY-SUR-EURE. Friday 21 April, 8pm CET, Red Star 93 travel to play Pacy.
RESERVES & OTHER XI's..CFA 2: Amiens 0 Red Star 2 (Belissaoui 2) - DHR: Porcheville 0 Red Star 1; Under 17's - Red Star 0 Brétigny 0
MYSTERY MAN. Still a couple of days left to guess the mystery man and win a scarf.
MYSTERY MAN. We received some replies to our guess the mystery player game yesterday, but not the correct ones, so have a go and try to win a Red Star scarf !
DHR. Red Star 93 with a five point lead in their championship travel to Porcheville on Sunday.
CFA 2. Red Star reserves play Amiens reserves away this weekend.
UNDER 17'S - Still second despite the defeat at Rennes, the under 17's are at home on Sunday, 3pm CET and play Le Mans.
SILENCE (continued). Due to the absence of support last night - only 200 present - you could virtually hear a pin drop, or the birds singing in the adjacent park. Maybe we could borrow one or two spectators from clubs who get more than us, such as Selby Town or Worksop Town ! Bloody disgraceful.
