Raon-L'Etape reached the National for the first time in 1997. Last year was a good one, with the club, one of the smallest in the division, reachin eighth place. This year, the team from the Vosges have had a torrid time, and are currently bottom of the league, eleven points from safety but with three games in hand. Unlike Red Star, Raon have had more time to recover.
